Iron River Miguel came to our farm as part of a cow/calf pair when he was fairly young.  While he wasn't born on our farm, he was definitely raised here.  Miguel has a great temperament, we feed him cubes through the gate, and he doesn't get overly excited about anything.  He has a very dark ruby red coat with a few black streaks if you look hard.  Both his sire and dam were black in coat, and you should get some of those genetics out of him.  Miguel is three years old, and has never been in with any cows or heifers since he was weaned. Only steers or other bulls.  We thought we had sold him earlier this year back in June, but the buyer chose a different bull on our farm instead.  We had a BSE done at that time and he scored a 91 on his fertility. A new BSE will be done before the sale.  His sire is Osceola Put the Hammer Down, black in color, whose parentage goes back to Almosta Farm's Brinley and Big Ridge Fierdy.  Skye High Coal and Voodoo Magic are also in his parentage.  His dam is CGH Lucinda, also black in color, from Creachann Glenn Farms out of Wisconsin.  We still have her on our farm, and she is producing calves every year like clockwork, an excellent cow.  I don't think you will be disappointed in this guy.  If I needed a replacement bull at this time we would just keep him, but we don't have room to keep another full grown bull around.

BSE completed Score: 91

Her first calf, BWR Hamish, was the top-selling bull calf at the HHCA auction in 2022, proving Hannah can put quality on the ground of all colors! Hannah is bred to Symbosis Sir Roman #66,439, an outstanding yellow AHCA bull from the Upper UP with champion stock in his bloodlines. This is a proven female bred for another exciting calf Spring 2027 — a great opportunity to add production and pedigree to your herd. A proven cow with a proven production record, bred to a standout bull. Hannah is ready to go to work for her next owner!

Here’s a Smokin’ Dun! By STR Maverick and out of J Bar T’s Anna, Dun Smoke is a promising yearling bull combining established North American Highland bloodlines—including Thorbardin, Swains, Pollock, Five Star and Summit Ranch—with direct Scottish influence through the Killochries fold, Glengorm and Balmoral.  Dun Smoke has demonstrated good growth and possesses an exceptionally quiet, easygoing temperament. Calm on the halter and easy to lead, he can be readily haltered in the field or pen.  Structurally, he offers good width across the pins with a clean, well-shaped hip, good spring of rib and a clean front end. He moves freely with a confident, powerful stride.  His Igenity Beef Profile results further support his potential as a sire. Compared with the U.S. commercial cattle population, he scored well for Ribeye Area (7), Tenderness (6), Milk Production (7), Stayability (6) and Calving Ease Maternal (6).  He should be especially well suited for a breeding program seeking quiet temperament, maternal performance and improved carcass merit without sacrificing traditional Highland character.

If you're looking to add well known proven genetics to your program, this may be your future herd sire.  Rebel is a 13 month AHCA registered bull out of LEA Kaethe and ZR Everett.  Both of these parents are very well known in the Highland World.  Kaethe has been a donar cow in the Circle AM then later, Ward Farms ET Program with many proven progeny.  She is a Dunn Cow with extremely good confirmation, good feet, medium framed but thick and deep, she has done an excellent job raising her calves for us and breeds back every year we have had her.  ZR Everett is a Silver Bull with lots of semen sales out there.  He is well known for his smaller yet thick stature along with a thick silver coat of hair.  We see these same great characteristics developing in Rebel as he matures.  A weaned dunn embryo calf sold last year at this auction that was a full sister to Rebel sold for $12,000.  Perhaps his only downside we can see is we have not worked with him to calm him down so he is still a bit flighty.  He was weaned off his mom and put back in the pasture so he needs some socialization.  We would keep him ourselves but we have too many of his sisters.  The genetics are there, we decided he was worthy to spare him the knife, as we believe he can add some great genetics for someone's operation.

MooShoe is a beautiful brindle, two and a half year old bull.  He is a proven sire to a well built yellow heifer calf that was born this spring.  He has bred that same cow back this summer, by request of the calf’s owner.  He is halter trained and easy to be in the pasture with.  He has been used as a Photographer's prop for sessions and is experienced with being around the public.  MooShoe is out of a black cow - Bernadette of Flatland (58025) and his sire is Skye High Kai II (63889), a beautiful yellow bull with an impressive pedigree.

CAM Brute (PV,D) is a proven producer of calves.  Lots of Hair!  Beautiful broad head and thick horns, well muscled and good body build. Not halter trained, but he is tame and docile, he is as easy a bull to handle as you can get.  He enjoys scratches and treats.

MysAnabel is an even-tempered dun heifer coming two years old and maturing into a promising brood cow prospect.  A standard-sized Highland female, she is level across the back, clean through the front, and balanced from the hooks to pins.  She has been introduced to the halter and sells open.  Her dam has a tight, balanced udder with plenty of milk and well-shaped teats that make it easy for newborn calves to nurse-a maternal quality we expect to see carried forward in MysAnabel.  MysAnabel has a malformed ear, described by our veterinarian as a congenital defect.  Aside from its appearance, we have observed no adverse effects on her.  Her pedigree includes Killochries, Trafalgar, Rockin T, Apple Acres, and Double LL bloodlines.  With her quiet disposition, balanced structure, and maternal background, Anabel is well worth considering for your breeding program.

Per owner information, this female has received calfhood/bangs vaccination.

Noreen is a bred heifer due in the spring to Brutus (registration pending AHCA).

Per owner information, this female has received calfhood/bangs vaccination.

Nessa is a AHCA registered heifer out of SOK Native Sunset with Black Watch Finn on her dam pedigree.  Nessa is nicely balanced.  First calf bred heifer to AHCA Bull Brutus(pending AHCA Reg) who is from LEA Kathy.  She has an impressive pedigree, but unfortunately due to an error on DNA somewhere along the line her offspring has restrictions only allowing her heifers to be registered.  Bull can not be registered from Nessa.

Per owner information, this female has received calfhood/bangs vaccination.

This proven AHCA cow has a great disposition, confirmation, feet, structure and a pedigree to back it up.  She has given us several good calves and always breeds back quickly.  She should be bred by Brutus, our AHCA pending brindle bull, due to calve in the summer of 2027.

Red Gate Neesha is from sire Merlin’s Black Magic and dam MP’s Misty.  Neesha is very timid.  We have tried to get close to her to give her a treat, but she is not interested.  She is stand-offish, but shows no signs of aggressiveness.  She prefers to walk among the other cows and avoid human contact.  She is a beautiful cow, but doesn’t fit our program.  She has been exposed to Red Gate Nestle (70118).  Neesha is Crop Ear Free tested.

Don’t let her registered name fool you!  Nightmare has some of the names directly on her papers you want in your program…including the since retired Flatheads herd of Montana, Canadian imports and even Jock of Glengorm.  Nightmare is bucket trained, eats treats from your hand, very easy to work, and has had 3 calves, all quickly and unassisted.  Nightmare is used to everything - other animals, kids, and chaos.  She was exposed to Highland Spice Madderroot (AHCA #66497) from 5/25-8/29 and will be preg checked prior to sale.  This could be your chance to get in on an AHCA 2 for 1 with a spring calf!  She has been BANGS vaccinated.

Per owner information, this female has received calfhood/bangs vaccination.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to add the genetics from this AHCA heifer to your herd.  Her docile temperament only adds to the punch per papers have, just check it out for yourself (AHCA #75102)!  Her dam has always calved with ease and never given any issues.  Her sire has many impressive relatives, including being a half sib to the 2022 National champion bull, Highland Spice Hickory.  While she is not halter broke, she is already very curious and would be a breeze to have gentled up.   Stardust is primarily red with brindle showing through.  She has been BANGS vaccinated and is ready to go!

Hazel is a first calf heifer with a bull calf at her side. She is friendly in the pasture but does not like tight spaces. She was home raised and had her calf with no assistants. The bull calf was born 08/02/2026.

Anna Bell has been with our farm for a few years now, and we have three wonderful calves out of her.  When I bought her from the previous owner he informed me that her front two quarters were no longer producing milk and that I would have to bottle feed her calves.  She raised the first two calves on her.  This last calf came in late January of 2026, it was very cold, and we pulled the heifer calf after a few days because she acted hungry and didn't seem to be getting enough milk from the dam as she kept going from nipple to nipple.  She took to a bottle and we raised her just fine as she got colostrum from mom.  Anna Bell is a very calm, easy going cow, very gentle to work around.  I would say there is a chance you may have to bottle feed her next calf.  I would just keep an eye on the calf after birth, make sure it got colostrum, and make sure it is eating.  She is bred back to our AHCA bull EOS Samuel and should be 3rd period at the time of the sale.  We have retained two heifer calves from Anna Bell and added them to our herd as we love her temperament, and the oldest is fast approaching breeding age to replace the dam.

We have had Cleopatra in our herd since spring of 2023.  She is listed as a red cow, but is definitely on the lighter end of the spectrum and more yellow in color.  She has produced three calves for us, and we retained one of her heifer calves, which was her first calf, for our herd.  Cleo is easy going and we feed her cubes by hand.  She has wonderful features for a highland, excellent build, and has no issue calving.  We are moving most of our older foundation stock out of our herd except for a few very young cows we purchased as heifers and moving on to younger generation heifers we got out of our foundation stock and raised here at our own farm.  At Cleopatra's age she still has several more years of calving ahead of her, and will make great foundation stock for the next owner.  She will be bred back to our AHCA bull EOS Samuel and should be 3rd period.

Little Bear is the product of the Matchup of TBH Lightening and BR Eirnin “EZ”, He is a robust 5 year old Black Bull. His personality is inherited from the sire side of his lineage, gentle, he got a bit rambunctious after his first year as herd bull but has settled back down nicely and gets along well with 3 other herd bulls matching his size.  Little Bear is the product of a breeding program starting with BR Eirnin “EZ” and his Grand Sire BR Voodoo Magic. 2 bulls with exceptional Scottish genetics. I estimate the EZ carried a minimum of 75% Scottish genetics, maybe a bit more... Every calf out of EZ was exceptional, it was not until we started our genetics program that I was able to link the consistence performance to his genetics and have been able to identify its source. All of EZ’s offspring fall into the blue cluster in the reference ellipse below (the “Tartan” class of highland animals). The Tartans have significant influence in the population standard being recognized as a unique class in the HHCA reference populations. The figure also shows the outlier behavior exhibited by EZ, who is beyond the  Black ellipse which represents the bulk of the reference population. TBH Lightening is a second generation TBH animal who reside close to the Green core animal ellipse but via the mating with EZ has resulted in Little bear’s positioning near the centroid of the Tartan sub-population. If your objective is producing Highland animals with traditional Scotish traits/characteristics Little Bear is an excellent choice for your next Herd bull.

Ebony has been on our farm since May of 2024.  She came from a ranch out in Wyoming.  She was halter broke at the time when we bought her as a young heifer (We have not put a halter on her since winter 2025).  We raised her up with 3 other young heifers and fed them cubes and brushed them regularly.  She had her first calf this past spring in late March and raised it without issue.  She will be bred back to our Red AHCA bull EOS Samuel and should have a Feb/Mar calf.  She is a protective mother and when she calves you will have to take that into consideration if you want to get close to her or her calf.  Without a calf she is calm.  She has excellent body structure, a nice uniform udder, and no issues providing milk or taking care of her calf.

HJH-Martin is very gentle, and he has had no health issues since birth.  We held him back an extra year to breed a parti color cow.  He has been with her for over a year and helped raise Hammish this year's calf.  He has a great disposition and is wonderful with calves.  Most likely will end up close to 1900 lbs like his sire.  Sire carried white genetics and dam is red brindle.

HJH-Allison has been a princess since birth and more like a pet.  She will end up being a herd matriarch someday.  She is 100% like her dam and I wanted to keep her but then I would have to replace her sire.  She is very food motivated and keeps all the other calves and goats in line.  Sire is 1900 lbs and dam is 1500 lbs.  She has good feet and good genetics.

Per owner information, this female has received calfhood/bangs vaccination.
